So I start to capture looking at the PC till the end because after 10-15 minute I have to adjust a bit the position of the object in the camera field. Stellarium so it is possible to do a goto and it centers the object quite precisely. I can plate solve but I am not sure that after the solve the image of the place my telescope is pointed changes in Stellarium, but if I know where is the telescope I can sync with the So I need to use CdC for this use only, to let the derotator to get the AltAz coordinates from the simulated telescope. The derotator to work needs AltAz coordinates but when the SC is connected with the Hub the only coordinates possible are the Eq ones, no chance for the ASCOM Hub to have the AltAz coordinates. Order to not loose any field of the camera over time during the session. If there was no wind I could longer the exposures significantly. To connect with a simulated telescope in order to let my Falcon Rotator to get the AltAz coordinates. I could use Cartes du Ciel (CdC) but I cannot because I need it With SharpCap I can plate solve but till now I cannot use the planetarium to see where is the telescope pointed. I can connect StellarCAT (SC) with ASCOM platform through ASCOM Hub.
For short exposure SharpCap is my favourite I use short exposures only because my instrument does not manage the wind, even a small amount (15 km/h is still enough to have bad shape stars). This is what I did till now and I would like to share my method with you in order to try I am very happy I am not the only one trying to do advanced astrophotography with my dobsonian.

I wish I had time to understand the ASCOM platform enough to write my own driver but sadly do not.

My guess is no since Servocat doesn't know where it is and platesolve solution is not sent to the argo.The servocat and Argo ASCOM drivers are really in need of an update as technology such as plate solving has been around now for a few years. I will try a test once my replacement Altitude cable arrives for my servocat-equipped 18" dob and see if doign a platesolve without alignment will still send location info to cartes du ciel that I could then do a goto. It does however send the solved position "offset" to cartes du ciel and I can manually do the second goto to the solved position and then synch. Sharpcap is supposed to automatically move the scope to the solved position but with the current Servocat ASCOM driver does not do this.

I am using the latest ASCOM platform with the ASCOM Device Hub accessing my servocat from both Sharpcap Pro and Cartes du Ciel. I regularly use Plate solving (All Sky Plate Solver) within the SharpCap Pro software to center a target in my camera's field of view but this has always been after scope/argo has been aligned. I know that it has been almost a year exactly since this topic came up, I may have a partial answer.
